Welcome to this week’s Word on Wednesday post!
This is a verse that I’m reflecting on this week. It is a great reminder to me at this “back-to-school” time of year that neither my children norĀ I will learn true wisdom by sitting in a classroom. If we are open to the Lord’s guidance and instruction, nothingĀ will be able to take away from us the Wisdom from the Lord.
It goes hand in hand with Romans 1:20 which states that “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – His eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” My primary role as a mother is to teach my children about God and this will be understood from what He has made. So we will continue to spend our time in His world and learning about Him through the life He has blessed us with.
It honestly irks me that a lot of people believe that learning only occurs in a classroom or a school building! As a teacher I fully believe that we should all be life-long learners – and that begins way before a child is old enough to enter school! I think if we could realize that learning is everywhere it would change so much in our culture!
Ah yes, learning is everywhere, absolutely! I can’t even imagine what a culture of life-long learners would look like. It would be a beautiful thing.
Very true words. There are things about His world that can be learned in a classroom, but it is not the ultimate instruction. With an open heart and mind, we can learn anywhere š
There is also a difference between knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge can come from anywhere but true wisdom only comes from God š
