I came to Christ at a very young age and truly can’t remember a time when I didn’t have the gift of salvation. I feel so blessed that I was allowed the opportunity to know God my entire life but that also means that I forget how big of a gift salvation really is.
I chose this verse this week to remind myself that salvation is a cause to celebrate. It is a prayer to ask God to reignite the joy and appreciation in my heart. Even in times when circumstances aren’t perfect, I can (and should) still find joy in the fact that Christ is my Saviour.

WOW! That is so true. His grace is amazing. It was amazing grace that saved me. Thanks for reminding us of the wonderful gift Jesus gave us.
It truly is a gift! I think it’s a reminder that many of us can use on a daily basis.
This is wonderful! I came to Christ later, at age 38 and I once heard a pastor say finding faith is like falling in love. It is so true! You are so excited and elated and giddy in the beginning, then the real work begins 🙂 That’s when I need to be reminded.
That’s such a great explanation of how it works. It makes perfect sense considering the whole relationship with Christ is built on love. Hmm… might need to plan monthly date nights with my Saviour to cultivate that relationship even more.
Savior date night, what a great idea! 🙂
